Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is The Brush Refresher?
A. It is an updated, more modern toothbrush than the current manual single toothbrushes sold in the market. It is made for the 21st century.
Q. Why is it called Brush Refresher?
A. You have one toothbrush handle, which has within it fresh new bristle brush heads, and when you finish with your current brush head, you always have a spare refresher without having to go out and buy a whole new toothbrush.
Q. How long can the brush last?
A. The Brush Refresher is a concept of a single toothbrush that has a compartment within its handle. So the toothbrush itself can be used for as many years as you want to keep it. The only 2 things that need to be replaced are the batteries and 4-unit brush head inserts that are sold together, pre-packaged inside a tray, after initial purchase of the Brush Refresher. In the first time checkout of the brush, batteries are included and there are already bristle heads inserted within the compartment by the manufacturers.
Q. Can I customize the brush handle?
A. Since this is no ordinary toothbrush and you don’t have to throw it out, you can purchase it as a gift for someone and inscribe their name on it or whatever writing you would like! If you own a dental office, for example, you can also inscribe in the office’s name, so that when someone is brushing morning and night, you are promoting your business!
Q. How many brush heads are inside the handle?
A. When purchasing the Brush Refresher, you get 5 brush heads total, one of which is already outside on the user-end of the toothbrush, ready to be brushed with, and the other 4 within the toothbrush handle compartment. Since you have to change a brush head every 3 months for effective and bacteria-free cleaning, the total of 5 brush heads last for a whole year, plus. Then when you need more brush heads to refill, you can just buy the small brush head units separately, and never discard your actual toothbrush ever again!
Q. What is the SmartBrush Technology referred to in the video on the homepage?
A. This means that the brush does 3 things for you. First, it times you exactly 2 minutes of brushing once you press the button to start. Dentists recommend 2 minute countdowns each time, morning and night, so now you don’t have to worry if you are spending time effectively while brushing.
B. Second, the BrushRefresher has a “Refill Indicator” light that senses when the inside compartment has to be refilled; meaning when there are no more brush heads inside, the light will turn red, and that is an indication that you have to purchase a 4-brush head unit to insert.
C. Last but not least, the brush has a “Renew Indicator” light that turns green when 3 months of using the outer brush head has passed. There is a visible timer of days counted down, starting from 90 days, and once the time ends, the indicator lights up to indicate that you have to snap in a new, fresh brush head, and throw out your old, frayed brush head.
Q. What happens when the battery stops working to use the Smart Brush Technology?
A. Based on approximate coordination of time and usage, the battery lasts a whole year, and that is exactly when you need to buy new brush heads as a 4- unit piece. So the battery replacement comes along with the unit, also, to make it a one-stop purchase.
Q. Can I use the brush heads for anything else?
A. You definitely can! One of the many reasons this modern toothbrush was invented was for this purpose. The bristles of a brush can be thin enough to clean a lot of crevices around the bathroom, to be honest. But to use a regular toothbrush to clean the faucet rings and then USE the SAME toothbrush on your teeth? YUCK! But here, you are totally free to use the current brush head’s bristles to clean whatever it is you want—the hard to reach places— then just snap off the brush head, even if it’s only been used a day or two, and snap in a new, fresh one, which is waiting for you inside the handle! What could be better?
B. Another use is taking only ONE BrushRefresher along with you to a hotel or host’s house where you and your partner/friend/family member is a guest. You can use one brush head to brush your teeth, then snap in a new one for the other person. And you can store both of your brush heads within the handle for the next morning, so as to not expose the bristles to the bathroom bacteria in the air.
Q. Is the Brush Refresher bulky to hold?
A. It is the same width and size as a mechanical or electronic toothbrush that dental companies produce and sell.
Q. Is there a version for young kids?
A. As of now, it is still being developed. For now, teenagers and adults have the privilege of experiencing the modern technology for the age-old toothbrush. Then the kids will have that benefit!
Q. Who is the inventor of Brush Refresher?
A. Dr. Alevtina Malakova and her spouse Dr. Boris Fuzaylov. They wanted a toothbrush to do more than just brush. Plus, she wanted her patients to heed her advice of making sure to always brush well for a good 2 minutes, and use bristles that aren’t frayed in all directions; but who’s going to go out during the middle of the night to get a new toothbrush? So she decided brush heads have to be around when needed, and what smarter way than place them INSIDE the handle which one holds during brushing. This saves worry of not having a new brush in desperate moments, and the timer allows for you to not worry about looking at your watch every so often to calculate how long you’re in the bathroom brushing your teeth.
