Dr. Alevtina Malakova, as a 3rd generation dentist, is a dental educator and consultant for many dental offices, and is co-owner of several offices with her father Dr. Albert Malakov. Raised in New York since the age of 5, Dr. Alevtina, who goes by Dr. Tina for simplicity, has been an active leader in her Sephardic and Russian community throughout her adolescent years. She has developed strong interpersonal skills and constantly builds relationships with many others, including those with whom she can communicate via her Spanish-speaking learned skills.
When interacting with patients, Dr. Tina picked up on the fact that there were many concerns voiced about having to always keep throwing out the old toothbrushes, which doesn’t favor the environment, and buying new ones, and people not being able to find a long-lasting toothbrush. Her husband, a pharmacist, had also encountered these questions from customers who thought that there just has to be a brand which allows for one toothbrush to last a longer time than usual. And after much brainstorming and discussions between each other, the BRUSH REFRESHER concept was born to solve those issues and MORE!
